About Jeremy Arzt, (he/him), LMFT

Jeremy Arzt is an LMFT specializing in relational trauma, attachment concerns, and couples therapy. Throughout his profession, he has worked in numerous settings, including nonprofit organizations, community mental health, inpatient residential facilities, schools, and private practice. In addition to his role as a therapist, he's held former roles as a clinical director and chief clinical officer for three mental health facilities in Orange County.

Jeremy has a strong passion for teaching and mentoring other clinicians. He was an adjunct faculty member at Alliant International University and taught courses in trauma and individual and family life cycles. He currently offers clinical supervision for associates, and he facilitates several consultation groups for therapists seeking to strengthen their skills in attachment-based, experiential work.

In 2024, Jeremy co-authored the book, For the Love of Therapy, with his wife, Nicole Arzt. A sought-after speaker, Jeremy frequently offers talks in topics related to attachment-based and psychodynamic therapy.

Has This Profession Failed Therapists: Unpacking Imposter Syndrome Myths and Building Competence

Imposter syndrome is often framed as a personal struggle, but what if the real issue is the system? This dynamic talk challenges the myths surrounding imposter syndrome and explores how the mental health field can reinforce self-doubt, unrealistic expectations, and burnout among therapists. Instead of blaming individuals, we’ll examine structural problems—lack of mentorship, perfectionism, and toxic professional norms—that fuel this comfort. Attendees will gain new insights and practical strategies to navigate their careers with more confidence.
