About Rachel McMurray, LMFT (she/her)
Rachel McMurray has worked in the mental health field for twenty years and specializes
in supporting the neurodivergent community with some of the issues this misunderstood
population faces such as eating disorders, substance use struggles, self-injurious behaviors,
executive functioning differences, trauma responses and mood dysregulation. She has had a
private practice since 2010 and in 2021 expanded the business to include speaking engagements,
community training sessions, supervision and mentorship. Rachel spent the majority of her
career working in eating disorder, substance use, and trauma treatment centers at the IOP, PHP
and RTC levels of care. She has worked every position from outreach and admissions to lead
therapist, program director and clinical director. As a multiply neurodivergent practitioner she
strongly believes in “walking the talk” and thus operates from this humanistic framework. She
consistently feels honored and humbled working in the field of mental health and is passionate
about helping her clients discover and recover the authentic self.

It can be challenging and simultaneously incredibly rewarding working with this population. I am here to share my experience and offer a space for creating interventions and managing any countertransference.
