About Charity Wabuke, (she/her), LMFT

Charity Wabuke is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and operates a private practice in Southern California.

As a woman of color, Charity is dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and providing compassionate, culturally responsive care. She works with individuals who have experienced oppression, discrimination, or difficulties integrating into professional life as a minority.

Her clinical expertise focuses on supporting young adults and adults navigating Trauma, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related anxiety disorders, Depression, Life Stressors, and Women’s Challenges. In addition, Charity is certified in Brainspotting and is a Brainspotting Consultant.

In addition to her clinical practice, Charity has held key leadership roles, including Director of Mental Health at a co-occurring inpatient residential treatment center for youth, Program Manager for a community-based substance abuse and Mental Health program, and Clinical Director at a residential treatment center for young women survivors of sex trafficking and substance abuse. She has also supervised Marriage and Family Therapist Interns in multiple settings, helping to shape the next generation of clinicians.

Beyond her work as a therapist and supervisor, Charity was an adjunct professor, teaching Advanced Development Psychology to Master’s-level psychology students. She is also a sought-after speaker and educator, having served as a guest lecturer on Clinical Documentation – DMH for graduate students since 2020. Her speaking engagements include:
